The 8th Holiday exhibition was celebrated by KAWS with a release at Changbai Mountain, a border region between China and North Korea with the highest peak of Northeast China. Sponsored by The North Face, the artwork is set in a beautiful snowy mountain landscape and shows a companion character sitting down, with a smaller companion on its lap.

KAWS: HOLIDAY Changbai Black
KAWS is the pseudonym of American artist Brian Donnelly (b. 1976). After graduating, he became a freelance illustrator for Disney, of which the influences are still visible in his work today. He is famously known for his Companion figurines, and collaborated with numerous Japanese toy companies such as A Bathing Ape and Medicom Toy. He also designed for brands such as Nike, Vans, and Comme des Garcons, and his latest very hyped collab in 2022 with The North Face.
